Our Products
Pure Canadian Honey
Our honey is harvested from the fields and forests of Southern Huron County, Canada capturing the distinct and complex taste of our local landscape. Our bees forage on diverse floral sources, including wild apple, dandelion, maple, clover, alfalfa, and basswood. You won’t find this unique flavour at the supermarket. Located at select stores in Huron County.
Queens
Our Buckfast Queens are sold by pickup only. Our hives are tested by both our beekeeper and a third party for hygienic traits. We select for honey bees that demonstrate hygienic behaviour and gentleness, and that are more tolerant of Varroa mites and brood diseases.
Nucleus Colonies
Our Buckfast Nucleus colonies are sold by pickup only and includes a deposit. Each Nucleus colony comes complete with a healthy laying queen, brood, pollen, honey and a new frame.
About Us
“My beekeeping journey began working summers for Bill, Rosemary and Matt Ferguson at Ferguson Apiaries outside Hensall, Ontario. Under their mentorship, I quickly mastered the essentials of colony management, honey production, queen breeding, and the importance of diligent record-keeping. I also developed an appreciation for preserving and improving Buckfast bees in Ontario. In 2014, I purchased my first hives, setting them up at the edge of the bush on my parents’ dairy farm. Today, Neeb’s Bees has grown to three beeyards across Southern Huron County. We are a true family operation; working alongside my parents, wife, and son, we spend the spring, summer, and fall breeding high-quality bees and extracting pure local honey.”
